Sports Carnivals
Terms 1 and 2
Our swimming, cross country and athletics carnivals are exciting highlights of the school year. These events encourage students to have fun, stay active and cheer on their friends while representing their house with pride.
Harmony Day
Term 1
Harmony Day is always a special event at Lake South. It’s a day for students to celebrate the many cultures that make up our school community. Students enjoy dressing in orange or traditional clothing, sharing stories, music and food and taking part in fun activities that promote friendship, kindness and understanding.
Berry Sport and Recreation Camp
Term 1
Every two years, our Stage 3 students head off to the Berry Sport and Recreation Camp for an unforgettable outdoor adventure. The camp is a highlight of the senior primary years, giving students the chance to challenge themselves, build teamwork skills and make lasting memories with friends.
Book Week
Term 3
Book Week is a highlight of the year, celebrating our love of reading and storytelling. Students enjoy a variety of fun activities, including the much-loved dress-up day where they come to school as their favourite book characters.
Southern Stars
Term 3
Each year, our school proudly takes part in Southern Stars. Our students consistently demonstrate passion, creativity, and teamwork, representing our school with pride. Being part of Southern Stars is a cherished tradition and a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience the excitement of performing in a large-scale production.
Kindergarten Orientation
Term 4
Kindergarten Orientation is an exciting time for our newest students to get to know their teachers, classrooms and to make new friends. Through fun activities and school tours, children and families learn what to expect and start feeling confident and ready for their first year at school.
